my favorite monday

today is the topic "my favorite guilty pleasure". now, if you know me, you know that this list would stretch on and on, infinity. i am not one for self-denial in any way, shape or form. my motto is, "just say YES."

but if i'm gonna narrow it down to just one for today, i would say that LAS VEGAS is mos def up there in the top 5.

with being only 90 minutes away from lost wages, we have lots of opportunity to go down and enjoy the sights and sounds--las vegas is a totally different creature today than it was even ten years ago, and there is so much to do and see.

we love to go down and stay at a posh hotel (only when we can get a screamin' deal) and mix and mingle with the rich folks---good thing they don't know that we are just one degree away from poor white utah trash!~

i know some people think that vegas wouldn't have anything to offer families, but they are wrong--we take our kids down a couple times each year and stay and there are so many child-friendly activities. our girls love the pools and the fountains at the bellagio and the planet hollywood miracle mile shops. they keep asking when they can go on the "new york new york" roller coaster. i keep saying, "someday."

I can take Vegas for three days max. Then I get sick of seeing sleazy girls everywhere and smelling like cigarettes. Still, I haven't been in a while and I hear it calling to me. People-watching in Vegas is unparalleled!!!

PS. Mindi you're such a white person:

We went to a lame time share presentation. For sitting through it all, we get a trip to Vegas. I'll email you to get the good places to take the kids. I don't think the strip clubs will be very appropriate :)

I love Las Vegas too. I know a lot of people who hate it. I don't get that. I LOVE how much there is to do. Plus, I'm a people person, so I love to just be in large masses of people like that. There's great food on every corner, shows, attractions at a lot of the hotels that are free. And the people watching in Vegas cannot be beat!

You can tell your kids that the New York roller coaster is highly over rated and not worth the cost. (can you tell I'm not a vegas fan - glad you like it though)
