ps 22 chorus

i posted a video before from the ps22 chorus--but that was before i had some time to check them out on their website and fall just a little more in love~

they are a group of elementary kids who have an amazing teacher, 'mr. b' who has helped them feel passion and a strong love for music.

i love watching how much they all love to sing, and it makes me wish that i was 10 years old again, singing my heart out and not caring who heard.

i always like to think that, if i put as much emotion into singing a song in public as i do when i'm alone in the shower, i would be signing with a major record label. YESTERDAY.

btw: you can email mr. b at: gbreinb@schools.nyc.gov --let him know how much you enjoyed it.

one of their latest, stevie nicks' 'landslide':

one for my girls tiburon, megan, and jody, keane's 'everybody's changing:

coldplay's 'viva la vida':

totally made me cry. The school district my husband works for is cutting music all together next year. Those kids are so blessed to have Mr. B.

You know what I love most about those kids? How passionately they sing. they're not just sitting there, sound coming out. They are swaying, clutching their chests, holding out their hands, bobbing their heads. It's like they FEEL the music. It's amazing for kids their age! Or anybody, really. The MoTab should take a cue.

I so got the chills! Those are the people that make me so sad when I hear about art and music programs being cut from schools. So amazing.
