we stopped into the sweet tooth fairy gourmet bake shop the other night.

MAMA LIKEY:

this place was like the adult version of candy land.

i kid you not--i was literally hyperventilating when i gazed upon this:

and lemme tell you: the other goodies looked like they'd been crafted by angel wings on a fluffy pink cloud of cotton candy while harps were strummed quietly in the background:

& did i mention the packaging? it looked as good as the treats:

so, let me state for the record: everything i ate tasted EVEN BETTER THAN IT LOOKED.

believe you me when i tell you that i've been burned before when it comes to spectacular looking cupcakes that absolutely FAIL in the taste department. i was so unbelievably excited, right up 'til the moment i took a big bite and felt like i'd just inhaled a toxic tub of crisco.

it was tragic. ( i can neither confirm nor deny that the alleged incident occurred HERE.)

we tried (and worshiped) the lemon bar, the foxy bar, the 7-layer bar, the strawberry cupcake & the chocolate chip cupcake. (did i mention we were with a ginormous crowd? or maybe just rbc and i....)

but, if you are going to be leaving this earth tomorrow, i would suggest you don't go until you try their cupshake:

it was absolutely magnificent.

what's not to love about cupcake, ice cream, & frosting mixed together? {sigh.}

while checking out some of their creations, i saw something that kaitlyn would like:

but, after seeing him shirt-less for 2/3rds of eclipse, i would have to go with this one:

if you lucky enough to live near any of these locations, you best RUN. NOW:

NOTE TO READER: I AM IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM BENEFITING FINANCIALLY OR TREAT-ALLY BY POSTING THIS. BUT I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ACCEPT ANY AND ALL FORMS OF BRIBES OR FREE MERCHANDISE FROM THIS BEAUTIFUL BUSINESS. I HAVE NO SHAME.

BTW: i would like to point out that the only item worth purchasing in the other alleged disappointment of a treat store i visited would be this little gem:

"If you have a stronger sweet tooth than anybody around, then this $750 cupcake is a treat made for you. Wondering what makes a cupcake worth $750? It is made from the 100-year-old Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac, Palmira Single Estate Chocolate, edible gold flakes and Tahita Gold Vanilla Caviar, believed to be the most labor-intensive agricultural crop in the world. Known as Decadence D’Or, this cupcake would be the perfect ending to a sophisticated holiday meal."

Hooray for the Sweet Tooth Fairy! Did you try the cake bites? To die for! It would be much better to trade a tooth for than a couple of old quarters under the pillow. BTW, the STF was very generous in supporting our Desserts for Diabetes event, too (don't you all wish you had come, now?)

There is now a STF within 1 mile of my home. It's dangerous. Very very dangerous.
