rolling with my homies

so, speaking of cougars, have you met any of my girl's club members? (present company excluded, of course) this little gathering of gals was formed 10 years ago by my friends sara and sheri and we are still going strong! we gather once a month to discuss world politics and policies, debate the ancient philosophies of aristotle and socrates, and attend the occasional lillith fair. ummmmmm....ok. i wanted to sound smart and urban-eco-friendly and socially conscious, but i have to admit that it's a little less complicated than that--more like getting together with 15 of your best friends to eat lots of nummy food and laughing until you cry. not rocket science, i know, but it works for us. our priorities would more likely fall under the categories of FUN and FOOD: we have a sleepover once a year and we always chuckle when we look over the spread and sheer quantity of food--and i'm not talking just a bag of m&m's here, its the GOOD stuff--and we wonder how we would do it if we were a group of men. (possibly a steak and a bag of chips? if they were really feeling crazy maybe they'd throw in some beef jerky). we have seen each other through lots of babies, baptisms, deaths, hardships, and divorce, but without fail we have all been there for each other and i heart this group of women!! its a little small, but this photo was taken last night and is missing jen and natalie and heather, but you can get the general idea of the hot soccer moms that i roll with! back row l to r: dannielle, ashley, kasi, mindi, sherri, annette, sara, amber and kamari. front row l to r: brooke, kristin, and kami
