i look forward to the superbowl every year: a time to party with friends, consume huge quantities of food that you shouldn't even be looking at, and the biggie--yes, the half-time show and the commercials. the game, i feel, is strictly secondary to the occasion. luckily for my man, we have a tradition with our friends to congregate and worship at colby and kristin's big-screen in their basement, and the men can bond over sports statistics and we women can gossip and solve all the world's problems.
this year we had kemps, cloves, marchants, hanks, larkins and cowans which equals 12 adults, 19 kids and 1 visitor, so , needless to say as you descended into the basement you got the distinct odor of feet and recess. colby always puts together a poster where we can all post our predictions for the score each quarter and who the final winner is. being a totally non-competer when it comes to all things sports, i always screw around and put something ridiculous down. lo and behold, guess who won the final score this year? ME!!!!!!!
i think it was fate and i am pretty sure that i am gonna start doing this for a living.
my favorite FAVORITE commercial this year was the planters peanuts one with the girl with the unibrow and all the boys couldn't get enough of her--priceless!! but tom petty at half-time? seriously? we couldn't find anyone else in the universe who would wanna play the superbowl and get massive coverage and publicity? please. i think the last time he had a hit i was in dixie regional medical center giving birth to kaitlyn. (translation:1994.)
we joked about what would make the blog and what would not, and jared wanted to ensure his place in internet history, so he graciously contributed the last picture. (warning: graphic man-nipple picture--have all small children and animals evacuate the room before viewing!)

I couldn't bring myself to watch tom petty! such a joke to get him but I guess brittney spears couldn't make it because she is in the hospital.
I too watch the super bowl for the commercials and half time (not this year). They are the best!
Oh my man, I am a nervous for this picture to get out. I am thinking that modeling agencies and play girl might be knocking down our door. You know what happened the last time Jared posed in a speedo. Need I say more.
