5 fun things we did in park city:
1. mama mia~! i know that everyone on the planet had already seen this, but we were waiting specifically for this trip to see it together, and i tell you--it did NOT disappoint!! we did get "shussshhhhed" by the gentleman (and i use that term lightly) behind us and a, "girls! quiet!" during the previews, but we laughed and danced and sang through the whole production. we saw it in vegas in may on stage and it left us quite unfulfilled in life, but this was everything we'd hoped it would be and MORE. if you haven't seen it? YOU GO NOW!
2. pedicures and sleeping in public spaces: we found a nail salon that had enough chairs to accommodate all 5 of us and arrived at our appointment to find that we had to wait--so i did what i do best....
i have my father's talent for being able to fall asleep anywhere, anytime. this was about 30 minutes into my 45 minute (i SWEAR. at least that's what my friends told me. they might lie a little bit.) nap on the couch in the salon.
and yes, that's me with my mouth open, snoring a little bit. i am nor have i ever been a cute sleeper and am only a little embarrassed to be posting these. but they are some serious blogging gold and need to be documented for posterity:
3. food, food, & more food: what's a vacay if you don't have a goal of taking in at least 5,000 calories per day? we had lots of great lunches and dinners and felt like this after each and every one:
the "money shot" at red rock brewery--notice my onion ring bracelet? they were ginormous!
4. shopping and buying lemonade: we shopped in the quaint little stores in and around park city and one of our favorite moments was when we saw this little guy sitting out in front of his mom's store, "selling" (translation: free, but you could tip if you felt so inclined...) lemonade.
jody asked him how old he was and he told her "6 and three quarters." what a great selling technique being adorable makes. he did an excellent job on the upsale of cookies as well, and jody left him a big tip.
5. searching for the "holy grail" in utah on a sunday:
so of course "breaking dawn" came out at midnight friday night and all of our copies were waiting at home. we stopped at 3 different stores on our way home and finally, FINALLY found our precious, precious copy at costco. jody and kristin were euphoric and did an impromptu busting of moves in the parking lot.
oh, edward.....my sweet. come to mama.....

I'm pretty impressed that you and your girls are all not just darling, but actually from Utah and BRUNETTES. Does that happen? Utah usually has a highlighting problem.
