us gals totally hit the twilight movie at pineview 10

yes, yet another blog entry to add to the millions of photos blog-wide of women bonding at twilight.

bond we did at the matinee on friday--me, mom, megan, bailey, kamari, hadley, kristin, chandler, katie, kennedy, & jody.

there was a LOT of estrogen in that dark room. and these girls contributed to it:

i was totally entertained by the flick. it helped that i went in with low expectations (i read the reviews) and didn't take anything too literally. i thought that bella & edward had some great chemistry, even if he had to wear lip gloss.

while watching the movie, i had an epiphany:

if bella's blood was "edward's brand of heroin", then i think she should do this:

so she could give him THIS:

she could even wrap it up, all festive-like, and put it under the christmas tree.

Good point on the donating blood. I will be seeing it on Friday. I have low expectations, and I'm sort of expecting the movie to not even meet those.

I agree that it was better than it was expected to be. Who forgot to tell Edward to shave his chest, and maybe, I dunno, work out a little?
I wonder what my own personal heroine is? I'll have to think on that one.

Oh BOY! Since I haven't read the book or plan on seeing the movie, I'm not sure about the whole bella and edwards blood...but if you say so! I LOVE the picture of you guys though! That's CUTE!

I can't believe Stephanie didn't think of that. Maybe she should consult with you on any future books.

Saw it, and it almost exceeded my low expectations. Almost.

Special effects were...meh. It didn't flow well to me, but that is just my opinion.

I will say that I do give it a thumbs up. It did make my weekend better. And I will see it again.

Also, love the transfusion idea, Mindi.

This was probably the strangest movie watching experience I've ever had. I'm a tough critic always. And in all honesty the whole time I was watching I was jumping between "this is horrible" and "this isn't bad" but in the end I decided I dig it and I'll probably buy it. The effects were BAAAAAAAD tho.

Side Note: You'd think Bella would have thought of that since she's all about self-sacrifice and all.

Good point... I always kind of wondered that...but then again Bella's a bit of a pansy when it comes to blood anyway. If she can't even last through a finger stick how is she supposed to last through having a whole pint drawn?

I liked it too! Mostly because I went with a bunch of ladies that I love and we were laughing and having a great time. I might even go see it again.
