say it isn't SNOW! (it actually snowed in stg)

SNOW IN DIXIE??

TOTAL ANARCHY.

SCHOOL CANCELLED!

yes, it's true--we panic when there is more than 2 inches of snow here in the desert. apparently our buses aren't equipped to drive in the snowfall whatsoever, so our minuscule amount of flakeage = SNOW DAY.

i realize that, for most of you, pictures of snow on the ground is no big freakin' whoop. but for us in these here parts, it's kind of a BIG DEAL.

the last time i remember school being cancelled for a snow day was when i was in 2nd grade. that was (ahem.) 1977.

my kids are psyched. there are many snowmen to be made and snowballs to be thrown.

It is exciting isn't it?? I'm in Tennessee and even the mere mention of snow is enough to send people into a tizzy. Schools close, the grocery stores are picked clean, it's madness. Then the snow melts by lunch time the next day. Enjoy it while you can!

Yeah it is a big deal - I remember 97' I drove to jetette's & later found out school was canceled. So we spent the day sledding @ Sunbrook.

I always wanted to live in St. George because of the lack of snow.

I hope your kids enjoy their day off!

It snowed two inches just on my way into work this morning! I'm so glad we'll have a white Christmas here this year. I can't imagine Christmas any other way.

Sounds sorta like DC. Just the threat of snow sends school districts cancelling, people flock to the grocery stores to get milk, bread, t.p. And we won't talk about what happens to otherwise sane drivers once a flake has been spotted.

Enjoy it while you have it. The house looks great!
