i saw a post about candy from the old days (those fake cigarettes, anyone? naughty, naughty--but you know you wanted them) and it got me thinking about the charlie's angels trading cards. you could buy these up at the stop-n-shop for a quarter AND they had gum in it (best deal ever) i would try to buy them and sneak them past my mom , but lana was having NONE of that. i don't think she liked what bosley's gals represented (or love boat. or three's company. or fantasy island. DANGIT!!! i missed all the good stuff) as my mom was ahead of her time. but it didn't stop me from pining away for these little gems--
as little girls, when we played, it was always "charlie's angels". everyone wanted to be jill or chris munroe, but i wasn't so into the blond gals as i was in to.....
kelly garret, HELLO--as my hair was brown and so was hers, i figured we were soul-sisters. love the throw the hair back over the shoulder , sexy bangs in the eyes shot--awesome.

nobody ever wanted to be sabrina, who, looking back, was the one we should all have wanted to be as she was the only one with any brains in her head, but my 9 year old self couldn't do it. even my 38 year old self kinda fights it still....hmmmm.
bosley was the mack daddy back then with the voice of donald duck.
when i was looking for the trading cards online, i was shocked to see the sheer volume of memorabilia--for mother's day i am hoping for kris's flying skateboard adventure (complete with silky disco jacket and sexy short shorts--
but if i had to choose, i would most def go with the lunch box. my friend angie madsen had this one and i was always a bit pouty about it as i had to either eat hot lunch or go home.

LOVED the Angels. Still do. Even with Drew and Cameron and that other one. I always thought Sabrina was the lesbian in the group. That lunch box is DOPE! (Just trying to keep up on my slang...)
The sad part is that people out there pay good money for the memorabilia. Sort of off the subject, but I was @ the Hilton in Vegas a couple of weeks ago, where Barry Manilo performs, and they had a Barry Manilow store. SERIOUSLY - I was shocked. They had the most useless junk in that store and because it had the bad face-lifted face of Barry on everything, they could sell things at astronomical prices. They had watches to books to clothing. They even had Barry water. Who buys this SHIZZZ?!
This post is awesome! I had the Charlie's Angels trading card stickers all over my dresser. I remember that jacklyn smith one with the hair in her eye. I always tried to flip my hair to get it in my eye. Too bad I had the "dorothy hamil cut" I could never pull that manuver off.
Had the lunch box! Yahoo! I always had to be Kelly too... I even had the Charlie's Angel's barbies and their hangout or office or whatever... anyway I had a Charlie's Angels house. Too Cool! I watched the old one on some random T.V. land re-run and still loved it. I also loved their mustang. Good times!
Yeah, I understand. Dixie outlawed Charlie's Angels & Three's Company, but we DID get to watch Fantasy Island and Love Boat!
