russ clove had a banner made when mia was born and i couldn't love him more.

so i just had to post about one of the reasons why i love russ clove.

this photo is the day we brought mia home from the hospital.  our friend tim taysom who owns star sign and banner hooked russ up with this vinyl banner that was hanging on our house when we brought her home:

i absolutely loved it for several reasons:

1. i love attention, naturally, but i loved BEST being able to announce it this way and it just felt so festive having it hanging outside. even better than christmas lights! plus the bonus was that it was vinyl, so come rain or snow or hail or fiery meteorites, this thing was gonna stay put. and look fantastic at the same time.

2. if you rent one of those "storks", you only get it for several days (i'm assuming, i've never checked). we had this hanging outside for almost 10 days and had so many comments on it from neighbors, family, and friends who came to visit. of course i loved hearing each and every one.

3. it was unique and original and special for our new little lady.

thank you, my husband, for always wanting the very best for me and for knowing that i would love this. you are amazing.

p.s. no, that is not elvis glowering on the right. just abbey.

Ok - that totally makes me want to have another baby, just for the stork. No one even gave me a hand-painted banner for my garage. I feel left out.

I am so glad that i am never having another baby to use this clever idea... but I think it would be fun to have a birthday banner for each kid. How fun to let everyone know that it is a birthday or you could just hang it in the house. Ohhh... The possibiblities are endless with the vinyl signage!

Except for the fact that now a days, they tell you not to (the hospital) so that sickos don't come and take your baby, I on the other hand, never follow the rules. so do whatev is fancying (sp?) your boat at that time....

Maybe we should get a vinyl sign to hang outside the Rio tonight so any stalkers can come steal our blogging butts :)

We are not having another little one either but I love the idea and it screams LOVE.

Now if you were to get some vinyl for tonights event...I can't say as grown adults you wouldn't have some stalkers!{tee-hee}

I love it! You could use it as a table cloth for her birthday parties too (just an idea). :)

I was lucky enough to have a neighbor that makes these when I had my 3rd! I had that adorable stork on me front lawn for a whole week!!!!

I'm still thinking funeral potatoes and sparklers are the way to go.

glad i'm not the only one that thought the baby snatching idea was a little far fetched! but then again, i sometimes wonder if i'm not paranoid ENOUGH. ah well. love the banner! too cute! :)

I love the banner such a great idea. I dig the stork too. I like attention in that way too. Everyone loves a baby.
