shoes

i bought these lovelies at target because they met all of my requirements for a "going to vegas" shoe: shiny, gaudy, glittery, a teensy bit slutty, and CHEAP.

so, OF COURSE, my girls are all over these like white on rice--mia spent almost an entire afternoon teetering around on them (and nearly twisting her ankle in the process):

she also spent a good amount of time on "posing" and "working it"--heaven help us!

then guess who wanted in on this action?

so then it was abbey's turn--notice the placement of the feet? SASSAY!

followed by someone who thinks she's old enough to actually carry it off:

but she's NOT:

what is it with we women/girls/female infants and shoes? will things never change?

if i had a boy, all i would need is a pair of THESE:

my nephew, nathan, displays the only pair of shoes that a young fella needs!

Look at those cute girlies working the sparkly shoes!

My son must never know that Lightning McQueen boots exist, or that will be all I'll ever hear about forever and ever.

Oh, so fabulous!

What a cute little guy. Love the boots. My former charge from my days as Mary Poppins had dinosaur boots. He wore his Dino Boots everywhere, forever. Seriously, the best footwear for little boys.

Every time I'm at Target, I wander to the shoe section and I see those Lightning McQueen boots...I tried them on Gideon once, but he's cursed with short legs and they pretty much fit him like waders instead of galoshes.

How cute! Where's the pic of you wearing them?

BTW - I have that same green pear and a taller version of that star on your fireplace. We must both shop in UT.

It must be so awesome to have daughters. Tristan tries my shoes on from time-to-time, but it's just not the same!

There is nothing wrong with a little shoe fettish but I must admit I am glad you will be dancing the night away in those babies down in Vegas and not me. Blisters make me cry!

Love the girls shoes not so much the mcqueens. Luke must never see these either. Don't they go against everything you stand for?
