there's nothing quite like a little girl's trip to completely re-charge you and give you a new lease on life!
& that was just what went down when this group busted out and over to las vegas the other weekend for 28 hours of play, food, sun, food, lounge, food, & joel mchale.
this trip marked the debut of my "white-girl weave" that i purchased at the local mall for kicks & giggles:
yes, that's a bunch of synthetic hair on the top of my head. and for a girl who has long locks no more, it was an awesomely fun change of pace--a little 'mixing it up' if you will. (or even if you won't.)
nobody could resist the siren's call of the weave, and it was passed around for all to enjoy:
we gussied up & enjoyed dinner at dos caminos:
we then snapped a few sneaky-mcSneakerton photos of awesomely VEGAS shoes:
then, it was over to the mandalay bay to try out our '20 dollar and under rule' for tickets to joel mchale's comedy act playing that night.
i posted about seeing joel two years ago when we took him a ginormous pair of panties. 'cause that's how how roll:
which he had signed for us after the show:
but we had heavy hearts knowing now that mchale was a big tv star starring as jeff in community--we feared he wouldn't have time for the little people this go-'round.
our worst fears were confirmed. he was nowhere in sight after the show was over. (which we actually averaged $33 per ticket--a little high, but worth it!)
jody & breque TOTALLY scored, though, when they managed to catch abed & annie from the show:
they were absolutely charming, delightful, & more than happy to take photos with our girls.
we considered it a "win" & decided to head over for some awesome people watching in the downstairs lounge area of lavo nightclub.
but when we arrived, we were surprised at the sheer number of people packed into the place. AND we saw there was a "red carpet area" set up outside the place. WHAT GIVES? we asked the doorman--he replied "some people from the tv show community are coming. it should be any moment now."
HUH???!
we walked out, turned the corner, and this is what we saw:
we were shocked. & happy to get in on a little sneaky joel photo action:
we thought our evening was complete. we could now die happy women. until THIS happened:
(and, yes, you might want to watch--this clip involves the words "get out the panties!")

WIN/WIN
best. night. ever.
we had the grandest of grand times that night. & we ended on a high note by discovering a new little gem--the grand lux cafe. it's by the creators of the cheesecake factory, and it's FABULOUS. it was the perfect spot for a late night snack: it's located in the palazzo, and is open until 2 a.m. sunday-thursday and until 3 a.m. saturday and sunday.
their warm sticky bun bread pudding was one of the best desserts i've ever had--you can view their menu HERE.

jealous.
did he ask where the crippled girl was?
Love the white girl weave.
Love Joel McHale.
And did Annie and Jody know that we can see through their shirts? Very sexy.
so. freaking. jealous. And as a side note, you have the cutest little button nose!!
The white girl weave is a win/win! Looks like so much fun! What are the odds you'd see him again?!
wow. this is almost relationship status.
thanks for making me late to the gym. totes worth it. now make the plate of brownies i ate yesterday worth it.
Three things:
1. LOVE the hair.
2. How did I not know that you did this?
3. I have the same shirt that Michelle is wearing. Brilliant people buy their clothes at Costco.
That is completely amazing. I'm seriously jealous...
Good for you guys!
I cannot tell you how jealous I am. Community is my favorite show! I love it! That looked like the best night ever! Thanks for sharing.
Oh, I am so jealous. Would have loved to have been there!!! I can't wait to see pictures of your cinco de mayo party. Sounded like a blast!
Great "white girl weave" as well!
