Very cool... That is a lot of work to get all of those ready. May you never have to actually use them.

Good work! I hope little Mia gets payed big bucks like Vana White. Cutest little 72-hour kit model I've ever seen!

Doesn't it feel good?! My mom did one for every person in our family 2 years ago. I can't believe the stuff she put in there. Good for you and what an accomplishment!

Good for you! We've been putting together 96 hr kits in our ward. I'm not quite sure what the difference is, other than an extra day.

Mindi, I totally want to make out with you :-)

Wow, good job!

Where do you store these?

That's impressive. My big step this year is buying a years supply of hot cocoa to go a long with my years supply of jello and chocolate chips.

I'm not joking.

Serious.

72 hour kits I can handle...the long term food storage? I dunno, I would hope the good lord would just take me away if anything happened where we were going to have to use any more than a couple weeks' worth of stuff. Or i could high tail it over to your house cause I hear you are storin all the real important stuff, tampons, ciggies! You will be the bartering Queen for shizzle!

You are on the ball, very impressive sistah!

gina bina said...

I'm super impressed! You have inspired me to update ours.

JMadd said...

I'm all about the bartering system. I'm going to stock up on a year's supply of Diet Dr. Pepper and toilet paper, and use it to get the rest of the stuff I need.

Great! Now I feel guilt!

You go girl! I guess I better do mine. Maybe next . . . year?
I don't even want to think about putting together 8 of those. UGH! BTW where did you find the see through back packs? I like that idea so you can see all that is within.

I will trade you my wheat for the cute little girl you have !!

Mine has everything in it but food. We'll be warm, dry, and STARVING!

Jill said...

Awesomoe! could you email me what you have in each pack so I can get started on my 6 that I need to have. THanks for the kick in the butt!

Anonymous said...

Wow, you rock my world! We don't have any. What all do you have in there? Those are super.

Mia said...

Wow, I am inspired and a little bit guilty feeling right now. You are a rock star!

daisy said...

I saw the 4 or 5 tampons in one of the packs. You will probably eventually have to fill a whole backpack with those. Us too. Fun.

Misty said...

I love that Mia's bag is a Barbie bag and maybe when she has to use it, she will probably be 17 and totally over it! Great job on the kits - thanks to my awesome mom, we have those too!

COOL - Do you have a list of what you put in your kits? Thanks - Jennifer stoutshouse@juno.com

Those are great! My came pre-assembled in a box. They are still in the box! I don't even know what's inside. Also, I'm trying to figure out a good place to keep them. Any ideas?

Omgirl said...

Good for you! for all that I'm dong so well on my food storage, I have only 2 food pacs for my 72 hour kits (I guess Beck and Daphne are going to be hungry!) and nothing else put together. It's one of those things that I think about a lot but never do. I really need to do it.

{Annie N.} said...

This is a bad sign for me if anti-food storage Mindi has 72 hour kits I better get a move on. Where in the hockey sticks are you going to store those? You might have to kick some seasonals out of their storage room.

angerine said...

Hmmm, two days after the election Mindi gets her 72-hour kits together. Do you know something we don't know?

CJ, The Purple Diva said...

great, and I'm not ready!
thanks for the warning!

Ok Mindi-I just spit my drink from my mouth. That is awesome! Who did you get to put those together for you? Is there a service for that kind of compliance? Good show for sure! Pat yourself on the back!!!
